Perfect Stay for Transit and Travel – Unbeatable Location!I chose Cordis Shanghai Hongqiao because of its incredible location, and it turned out to be the absolute best choice for my trip. If you are taking the high-speed train, staying in Shanghai for a couple of days, and then flying out of Hongqiao or Pudong, this hotel is perfect. You can walk right through the Hongqiao Hub directly into the hotel without any hassle.The surrounding area is excellent. There is a massive shopping mall right next door and tons of great restaurants to choose from within walking distance.Getting to Pudong Airport was also incredibly easy. There is a high-speed train that connects Hongqiao to Pudong in just 40 minutes for only 26 RMB. It took me less than 2 hours from checking out of the hotel to walking up to my boarding gate in Pudong!As for the hotel itself, the rooms are large, very modern, and highly functional. Everything was exceptionally clean, and the bedding was super comfortable. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Shanghai!

This was the best hotel i have stayed in in a long time. It was right next door to the train station which is why i chose it. Was a great first night experience

Breakfast was amazing as always. Been back to this hotel every time for business travels. Rooms are clean and well maintained, service is great. Location is convenient and connects directly to the the pathway to the railway station.

Hotel is perfectly located next to Hongqiao Railway Station and can walk there, via the fully sheltered underground from hotel B1. Convenient for travellers accessing Hongqiao Airport, Gao Tie and Metro. Hotel wifi is non-existent. Buffet breakfast is satisfactory and would be good if hotel can provide tea bags instead of pre-make tea although you can request for other tea through the staff.

Booked this from hotels.com with F&B credit. Asked hotels.com and they said they dont know. Called hotel, hotel (Amber) dont know, said will email hotel. 48 hrs later, no update, messaged hotels.com, it takes Mark forever to give me the info and said hotel will email me and Mark refused to give me the info. Inefficient Hotels.com service centre. Went to hotel and hotel said they never received email from TA. And said how can this info be private, they are open for business and informed the credit and said the T&C would be mentioned on the online TA but none. Coz the credit only can use one time in a single receipt only at the ADD restaurant, which i did not know can only use one time in a single receipt, both parties at fault for not sharing this info! Gym only provided tiny wash cloth which dont make sense. Small gym and packed with guests. Bathroom door cannot be closed. Then to use the voucher I was rejected by the F&B staff at 5pm then went up again to speak to front desk, then was allowed, so much hassle. Then the f&b manager only explained the t&c upon signing the bill. Sigh

Room is fine. Check in was slow. The person at check in told me they could not exchange foreight currency from USD to RMB and suggested I go to the bank acound the corner. I made the same request to another staff member the next morning and he met my request without problem
