We loved our stay. We would definitely come stay here again. Highly recommend!

They certainly do not like customers that make reservations under a “3rd party” and they made that very clear. Considering how expensive everything was, we didn’t even have the basics in the bathroom (qtips, toothbrush-i’m not even sure if this counts as “basic” anymore.) Valet also took too long, they have a small driveway and you just sit there-I had to call front desk and ask if they were even offering it.

The AC in room did a poor job of keeping it cool enough to sleep. Also, I was given a handicap room and I’m not handicap. The rooms are not as nice as the photos make them out to be.

We enjoyed the location, which is excellent, right in the heart of the Magnificent Mile and very convenient to the river and the lake. That said, this room was supposed to fit three adults, and it really did not. It was on the small side, the king bed took up most of the space, and there was no practical way to accommodate our 15-year-old son in the room, so we had to make other arrangements outside the hotel. The access-to-lounge booking was also misleading. We expected a true lounge experience, but it was closed at 12:00 pm, and in practice there was only a very basic breakfast available until 10:00 am. That was disappointing and not what we thought we had booked. The elevators were another major issue. We were on the 41st floor, and even allowing for a busy hotel, it seemed that only 2 or 3 of the 6 elevators were actually working. We had to budget 5 to 10 minutes just to get on an elevator, which was frustrating and added a lot of inconvenience to the stay. Overall, this is a good option for location, but the room size, the misleading lounge access, and the elevator situation made the stay fall short of expectations.

Clean room Staff are very friendly

While the staff was friendly and helpful, the management at this facility was extremely disappointing. We stayed in a room that was between 81 to 84 degrees for nearly 48 hours during a Chicago heat wave in July. We were initially told the hotel’s air conditioning system was down, but by the next day, all of the common areas—including the hallway outside our room—were cool. It was clear that the problem was specific to our room, where the air conditioning never came on. Over a 30-hour period, we requested assistance 6 times and were repeatedly told that engineering would come, but no one showed up. I had undergone a medical procedure that day, and the excessive heat made it difficult for me to breathe and recover comfortably. I spoke with the manager on duty three times, but she was dismissive and insisted that the room simply needed time to cool down, despite my explaining that the unit wasn’t running at all. Someone was finally sent only after multiple calls and an in-person visit with her at the front desk. Equipment failures happen. What matters is how they’re handled. In this case, management showed little concern for our situation and treated us as though we were complaining rather than addressing a legitimate issue. That was the worst and most disappointing part of our stay.

Wonderful stay for a business trip to Chicago!

Me and my family had a wonderful experience with such professional and caring staff

We booked using Expedia. We had a flight complication so I called to inform the hotel that we would be arriving the next day. When we arrived the following day they had deemed our reservation a “no show” and cancelled our room. The manager was helpful (sort of) by “re-instating” our reservation. However when I arrived home I saw that he had actually just booked a new reservation and had charged us for an additional 3 nights. I reached out to the reservation team with the concern, and they did reimburse me, but they advised the fault was ours, not theirs. I am disappointed that we had not o do this at all.
