This was an exceptionally nice hotel with incredible proximity to Grand Central Terminal, the Chrysler Building, etc. We didn't get to spend much time here, but it was a lovely lobby and outstanding room. We were surprised to be upgraded to a king suite upon our arrival. As this is an Irish chain, our suite was called the "Roma Downey Suite". The suite consisted of a king size bed in the bedroom, a small living room area with a second TV, and of course a finely appointed restroom with an oversize bathtub. Between the comfort of the room and the proximity to Grand Central and thus, all of midtown, a highly recommend this hotel.

Great stay, the staff was absolutely amazing and they went out of their way to make sure you felt like a guest and not just a customer. The hotel is in a great location if you're looking to get around , if not in the most scenic area.
There's a great Irish Pub attached to the hotel, and a solid breakfast place literally next door. Its right across form the Chrysler building and Grand Central so getting a cab was never an issue, There's also a subway station and Citibike rack directly across the street, so transport in ANY form is easy as can be.
The rooms were great and had a great ambiance for that classic NYC trip feel, admittedly a little outdated and missing a few amenities ( no mini fridge or ice was a little strange) but overall will 100% stay here again.

Staff were very friendly. Hate everything else. Room has gross, old, dirty carpet, ac barely worked, you have to close the bathroom door to use the sink, towels do not match, one robe for 2 guests. Would never stay again.
And why is there a phone in the bathroom?
Can hear everything from the courtyard.
