Great location and look, but mixed experience Beautiful hotel, spacious rooms, and wonderful staff in a perfect location. On the downside, the room amenities need an upgrade: the shower water fluctuates between freezing and boiling, the towels are worn out, and the beds are very soft. It has a 5-star look, but a 3-star feel.

Loved our stay at Viangluang. Great location, walk around the Old Town no problem, clean comfortable rooms, lovely staff, great breakfast choices and a refreshing pool. the pool only opens at 10am in the morning which I didn't mind at all, I love it that they respect the privacy of the guests located near the pool.

Beautiful hotel at the heart of Chiang mai.

It was clean and in good area. The wifi was not good.

This is a beautiful hotel designed in a traditional thai style located in the center of the old city. The swimming pool is gorgeous and the room was charming and spacious. The breakfast buffet did not have very many options as compared to other thai hotel breakfasts, but the food was delicious and high quality . My only complaint is that late night the hotel allows 2 “working girls” to sit in front of the hotel smoking and drinking beer. They were soliciting me as I entered and exited the hotel. I personally was not offended by that, but it’s probably not appropriate for such a nice hotel to allow that

The hotel was beautiful, loved the small feel and very nice pool area, and the staff were extremely helpful and kind

This is a beautiful, well located, little hotel within the old city walls. While the breakfast is adequate, to be given an extra star it needs to have a better selection.

The staff was friendly and helpful when we needed it.
