Our stay in New York City did not meet expectations. The room was very small and did not match the photos shown online. The furnishings appeared dated, and the room had a musty odor that affected our comfort. Upon entering the lobby, there was a strong smell of spices from the Indian restaurant connected to the hotel. While some guests may not find this objectionable, the aroma was noticeable in the lobby and in parts of the hotel, which affected our first impression of the property. Our main concern involved a staff member named James. After checking out, we asked whether we could leave our suitcases at the hotel for a few hours so we could spend the rest of the day in the city before going to the airport. James informed us that if we left our bags, it would be at our own risk. His response did not provide reassurance regarding the hotel’s responsibility for guest belongings. As a result of that interaction, we spent the rest of the day concerned about whether our luggage would still be there when we returned. Instead of enjoying our final hours in New York City, we remained focused on the safety of our belongings. Customer service plays an important role in the guest experience, and this stay left us with an unfavorable impression of the hotel. Expedia should also consider conducting yearly reviews of the hotels they advertise.

There was a roof leak during our stay so our bed was getting dripped on. They moved us to a new room and compensated us. They made a bad situation right!!

I would definitely stay at this hotel again. My room keys never worked throughout my stay. When I first checked in the guest attendant said he would look into it, but when I came back it still was not working. At check in I had to go back down to the front desk 3 times before a worker came up to the room, they kept giving me new keys. Then when I got back around 1 am the door was still not fixed and i had to go down to the front desk twice just to get someone to come open the door. For me that's a safety issue as female having to stand outside my room just waiting and the key never working nor the door being fixed.

I have stayed here before and it was the same as last time, a place to sleep and relax during the heat. It was definitely nothing more and it served its purpose. It’s a relatively cheap hotel for NYC, close to the subway, food options nearby, and even a bit of shopping. For me it’s a good budget hotel, if you weren’t planning on staying at the hotel much then this will be perfect for you. My only gripe was that there was no refrigerator in the room or water. This would’ve made my stay much better, but wasn’t that much of a big deal.

The property is located in the heart of financial district and walking distance from many attractions like World Trade Center, Liberty island and Brooklyn Bridge. Staff were helping. Everything was good however The door luck system is annoying. Thank you
