Towel wasn't provided until 10pm upon request, when provided was cheap material that left me covered in lint.

Truly truly terrible. Please do not book this hotel, there were pee stains on the bed, the shower was broken and even if you somehow wanted to shower there were no towels (because they said they were out??) and the the pillows were tiny, there was trash in the room. It smelled sooo bad, Did not even stay longer than 1 hour, we had to get out of there. Do yourself a favour and just book somewhere else. We wasted time and money

I travel extensively for work and I have never had an experience like this one. It was absolutely atrocious. It is mid summer and there was no air conditioning although it clearly states on Expedia that they did. This hotel should have been removed from Expedia as soon as this happened. We paid hundreds of dollars for this horrific experience with no sleep as it was so hot. We were placed on the top floor (did not realize until we got to our room) which I assume was the hottest. When we got to room the door was ajar and when we walked in it was stifling, so incredibly hot. I asked twice for a fan and never received one. I had to go and ask for towels and the staff (who were less than friendly), looked stunned I was asking for them. One of the beds had a giant wet spot on it..definitely not from any air conditioning condensation. It was just gross. Lampshades had yellow rims around them, like they had previously been wet. Turned on shower and handle came off in my hand. Don’t look at the bathroom door and it has not been cleaned or painted in a long time,etc. Unfortunately, we had cancelled flights all day and did not arrive until close to midnight, so we had no choice but to stay at this hotel. Definitely do not recommend. Waiting to hear back from the manager as they were “not there” when we checked out. I am not a talk to the manager person, but this was ridiculous.

★☆☆☆☆ (1/5) Our stay at The Brooklyn Hotel was extremely disappointing. From the moment we arrived, the experience was poor. The front desk staff was not welcoming or courteous, making us feel like an inconvenience rather than valued guests. When we checked into our room, there were no towels. We notified the front desk immediately and waited approximately six hours before they were delivered. Even then, the towels were old, rough, and barely absorbed water. The room itself was also not properly cleaned or maintained. The biggest issue occurred the night of July 18, when the air conditioning on our floor stopped working. The room became unbearably hot, making it impossible to sleep. We had no choice but to leave the hotel that night and stay in our friends’ hotel room because the conditions were simply unlivable. The following day, the A/C was still not working, and no satisfactory solution was provided. We ultimately decided to check out early because the hotel was unable to provide one of the most basic amenities—a comfortable, air-conditioned room. Overall, between the poor customer service, the lack of basic necessities upon arrival, the poorly maintained room, and the failure to resolve a major issue that forced us to leave early, this was one of the most disappointing hotel experiences we’ve had. We have requested a full refund, as the hotel did not provide the accommodations we paid for. I would not recommend staying here until significant improvements are made t

AC was out, no fans or air movement. Original room was a center room, no windows, no fan and 90 degrees. They did find a room with a small window so we were able to bring the room down to about 83 degrees but traded the slightly lower temp came a full train and road noise. No towels in the room, they eventually brought some, really bad towels. If you are not at all picky, are desperate, or don’t worry to much about stuff being really clean this might be for you.

These rooms are Huge! Separate TV/living area and bedroom (also with TV). Really cool bathroom. Good location near the train, restaurants, and close enough to walk to the navy yard or downtown.

The hotel looks nice from outside but it is really run down. Nobody seems to be cleaning the common areas and the rooms an also not well cleaned. The elevator is cracking. The lobby/bar area seems abandoned. Not recommend this place.

Arrived for check in and staff was incredibly rude. No air conditioning, vending machine was empty. Got to the room, which had no toilet paper. Called and asked for them to provide, they told us to wait until 9 am when house keeping arrived. Then told us to “come downstairs and get it ourselves.” Went down to get it and the desk slammed down a roll, very rude. Went to check out and there was cockroaches coming out in the room. If I could rate zero stars I would. Didn’t look anything like the photos, very unorganized and messy.

Lights did not work, no towels, building not maintained well; poor location; overpriced

The hotel pictures make it seem like the property is great overall. However, when I arrived, the front desk clerk was behind bulletproof glass, which immediately made me question how safe the area was. I was also charged $50 for an early check-in even though I arrived only an hour and a half before the standard check-in time after coming from the airport. The room floor was not clean at all, and the pillows had noticeable yellow stains. There were also visible signs of humidity and water damage in the room. Additionally, I was unable to watch the World Cup matches because the hotel did not offer proper cable service; only channels such as The Weather Channel, TNT, and a few others were available. The only positive aspect of my stay was that the hotel was conveniently located near a subway station.
