Great stay and I will be booking at this location again

We recently stayed at the DoubleTree Hotel in New York City, and while the location was convenient, the overall experience didn’t justify the price. We booked a room that sleeps four, but it was extremely compact. There was barely enough space to store our luggage or move around comfortably. We paid extra for a city-view room, but our view was almost entirely blocked by a large neighboring building, so there was essentially no city view at all. The walls were quite thin, and we could easily hear conversations and noise from neighboring rooms. The elevators were another major issue—they were slow, often required a long wait, and didn’t inspire much confidence. Considering the price we paid, it was disappointing that breakfast wasn’t included. The lobby was also inconvenient to access, as getting in and out often required waiting for the elevators. The staff weren’t particularly welcoming, and when we asked what was included in the breakfast, they didn’t seem to know the answer. The one major positive was the location. It provided easy access to the city’s main attractions, restaurants, and public transportation, making it convenient for sightseeing. Overall, while the hotel’s location is excellent, the small rooms, lack of the advertised view, noise, elevator delays, and underwhelming service made it feel overpriced for what was offered.

Couldn’t believe the whole hotel had only one small microwave for all the guests and you always had to go down to the 2nd floor if you had to heat up any food, was very inconvenient and also there was no working fridge in my room

Not the best, we had to deal with cigarette smell from neighboring rooms in our room. Staff was super helpful and nice but considering it’s a non smoking hotel was extremely frustrating.

The bedroom and bathroom were uncomfortably small, making the stay less enjoyable. Given the high price, this property was not worth the money.

Small as expected, clean, and very quiet. Beds are soft, not my favorite. Staff we encountered very helpful ansewring questions and providing services.
